The space behind the Community Gallery is our Classroom area where we offer a wide variety of classes for children and adults. We are always looking for new ideas for classes, and for teachers to teach them! We are interested in offering classes in anything creative, whether it is painting, drawing, print-making, polymer clay, jewelry-making, photography, music, poetry, journaling...you get the idea! SATURDAY MORNING KID'S CLASSES - Kids 12 years and under are welcome to this "Make and Take"
Join us every Saturday morning from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm for a different project each week for kids aged 5 to 12. We will explore a wide variety of media from drawing to painting to creative fun of all kinds. Class size is limited to 8 kids, so register in advance! (An adult must stay on site with each child.) ACRYLIC PAINTING Wednesday's from 3:00 to 5:00. Join instructor Annette Ryan for a fun exploration with acrylic painting. All materials are provided class costs $15 per session, new students should arrive about 15 minutes before class for a brief orientation.
BEGINNING WATERCOLOR PAINTING Beginner to Intermediate level
A 6-week summer session, held on Sunday afternoons, will begin again on September 17th through November 12th, no class October 15th. Another 4 week watercolor class may follow after this class into early December and will focus on a holiday theme. Instructor: Dianne May. For ages 14 and older. $120.00, or this 8 week class. Some basic supplies included, but a list of suggested additional supplies will be provided. Students will learn essential watercolor techniques such as painting wet-into-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brush, as well as color mixing and values and creating various textures. Work on your own projects or on subjects set up by the instructor. Please register in advance.
INTRODUCTION TO PORTRAIT DRAWING IN GRAPHITE PENCIL Beginner to Intermediate level
The next session for this drawing class will be held on August . Topics covered will include the different color values of the graphite pencils, and their uses, various blending and shading techniques, including the use of blending stumps and tortillions, and tips for capturing an accurate likeness of your portrait subject.

Endorphin Love! INTRODUCTION TO "ZEN DOODLING" Beginner to Intermediate level
Set your happy endorphins free! Join instructor Donna Cook in exploring the fun, creative and relaxing techniques involved in "Zen Doodling" using colorful gel pens. Creating these intricate designs and patterns is easier than you think. Learn to use your designs for bookmarks, greeting cards, journal pages, and so much more! TBA. INTRODUCTION TO STILL-LIFE OIL PAINTING Beginner to Intermediate level
Join instructor Rosemary Shellberg for this beginner to intermediate level still-life oil painting class for ages 16 and over. Topics covered will include color blending, shadows, textures, and dimension, brushwork, composition and development. Class runs Thursday evenings beginning September 14th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
